ABSTRACT

A short history of the discovery of gravitationally attracting dark matter and anti-gravitating repelling dark energy together making up ~ 96% of the stuff of the universe is given. My thesis is that both are exotic w = -1 vacuum phases of post-inflation residual negative and positive zero point density respectively with both gravity and torsion emerging from the cohered zero point energies of the pre-inflation unstable false vacuum of massless quantum fields.

Therefore, dark matter particles will never be measured in the laboratory in this theory. There can be no inertial rest mass in the absence of gravity as the curvature of space-time. An amazing property of quantum gravity foam is described. It is scale-dependent such that 3D space is a “Volume-without-volume” holographic projection from a 2D surrounding surface “hologram.” This result, that the linear size of the close-packed bubbles of the quantum gravity foam increases as the cube root of the linear scale being measured is so amazing, so beautiful that it must express a hitherto unsuspected deep truth about the nature of physical reality. The essential role of the geodesic principle in formulating the very concept of warp drive is emphasized. The occupants inside the warp bubble must be locally on a free-float timelike geodesic free from all inertial g-forces, even though the global path of the ship appears non-geodesic, indeed even tachyonic (faster-than-light), with apparent g-forces to the observers outside the warp bubble. I close with clues on how to achieve such advanced space flight technology.
